Founded in Ottawa, Canada, Crossroad Communications specializes in strategic communications and solving problems related to decision and behavioral sciences. Backed by patented intellectual property, more than 50 years of research internationally and 25 years of diverse application experience, MMT™ Platform is the first technology for understanding and focusing human judgment, decision making and behavior.


MMT™ is built around risk perception and how it affects decisions – whether it’s about a health behavior or a consumer brand. Based on extensive research, much of it at Carnegie Mellon University, MMT™ has been used for 25 years by leading organizations including the Food and Drug Administration, Army Corps of Engineers, Department of Defense, Hydro One, Pfizer, Merck, Canadian Food Inspection Agency, Health Canada and the Public Health Agency of Canada, Mining Association of Canada, IBM, Department of Fisheries and Oceans, and EPCOR among others. Applications include reduction of youth tobacco use, new product development, appropriate use of medical devices, energy conservation, environmental protection and consumer health and safety.


With foundational research and applied research dating back to the 1930’s, decision scientists and engineers at Carnegie Mellon University developed an expert models/mental models method for risk communication in the mid 1980’s. This work led to the development of a framework to characterize perceptions of risk in a way that would help coordinate behavioral interventions. Decision Partners LLC, in association with decision scientists at Carnegie Mellon was launched in 1990 as a risk communications specialty consulting firm, deploying the framework.


Recognized for our resilience to work in fluid situations, we project manage requirements according to client needs and milestones to develop interventions such as stakeholder and member engagement plans, change management strategies, communication audits, issues management strategies, and communications and engagement products for public, private, not-for-profit and academic sector organizations.

Dyna Vink is a senior communications, marketing and change management professional with a proven track record in delivering measurable results through imaginative solutions. She has over 20 years of experience in leading a wide range of initiatives in the areas of strategic communications, marketing, organizational change, and stakeholder engagement. She is known for a highly collaborative approach anchored in sound project management and a relentless focus on excellence.


Skilled in identifying opportunities to increase return on investment, Dyna delivers on strategic organizational objectives through prioritization and alignment with other activities. Known for her passion for excellence, Dyna is the recipient of a Distinguished Service Award and numerous project awards from the International Association of Business Communicators celebrating outstanding strategic communications, as well as a Mentor of the Year award.


Dyna earned a Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing) with Distinction and a Master of Management Studies, a degree in technology management. She is an Accredited Business Communicator (ABC), holds a Change Management Professional (CMP) designation in the Prosci method, and qualified as a Project Management Professional (PMP).
